Process safety support was provided for the Olefins III / Nowa Chemia project, a major petrochemical investment focused on the development of advanced olefins production and associated process infrastructure.
The scope of work included participation in structured HAZOP with LOPA studies for selected process systems and auxiliary installations. The studies focused on the identification of credible process deviations, their causes and potential consequences, as well as the review of existing and proposed safeguards.
The project required cooperation within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, involving process, automation, mechanical, safety and operational representatives. Particular attention was given to the safe integration of process systems, operational philosophy, control systems and protection layers.
This project demonstrates experience in process safety studies for large-scale petrochemical developments, where complex process interfaces, hazardous materials and high-energy systems require a structured and technically consistent HAZOP with LOPA approach.
